I chose to specialize in working with clients suffering from anxiety and anxiety-related disorders after seeing the dramatic impact this has on a person's life. I believe strongly in the connection between our minds and our bodies, which led me to seek advanced training and certification in hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
People generally turn to therapists for help when they feel overwhelmed and don't know how to change things on their own. I understand how difficult this can be and help clients feel comfortable with the process of therapy.
Being a brief therapist means that a take an active, collaborative role with my clients. I engage in conversation rather than just nodding along, and I'm always working with you to find out what will help.
I believe that every person, regardless of how much they are struggling, has strength and resources. My goal as a therapist is to help you realize this strength and capitalize on it in treatment.
In addition to my private practice, I am an adjunct psychology professor at Lynn University.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.
